We are award-winning business women and technologists who have worked in digital and financial governance, public policy, education, and law. We have in-depth experience working in the areas of AI, open banking, blockchain, international NGOs, academia, and in the not-for-profit and for-profit technology, education, and digital finance industries.
The Team is lead by Kate Arthur.
Kate Arthur is a British-Canadian entrepreneur who has worked in communications, technology, and digital education for over 25 years. She has built computers and servers, as well as companies with a focus on building technology for good. She is the founder (2013) of Kids Code Jeunesse (now Digital Moment), which has educated over 1 million youth in computing and AI literacies; and the co-founder of DMCS Canada (2007), a technology company that support small-medium sized not for profits and educational institutions.
Through storytelling, her new book, Am I Literate? Redefining Literacy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence explores the role of literacy and education, the history of computing and AI, and why we all need to be AI literate to be able to tell – and own – our own stories.
Kate is an adviser to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI) and a collaborator with the AI in Education Interdisciplinary Research Hub at Oxford University (AIEOU). She has contributed to UNESCO’s AI competency frameworks for teachers and students and as a member of Canada’s AI Public Awareness Working Group.
Kate leads the Comz team to deliver high-quality, relevant, and rich customised learning opportunities to provide leaders with the skills and knowledge to navigate through the AI revolution.
